The
following steps will fix the settings needed to interpret the Secure Socket
Layering encryption protocol used by various webpages…
FIREFOX:
Type
the following – “about:config”
in the URL address bar…press enter

Click
the “I promise” button…

Your
cursor will automatically move to the Filter bar…type the following:
“SSL2”…this will shorten the list to 7 entries…

The
top entry should be bold and the value set to “TRUE”…if not…double click the
top line to change its value setting…

Click
the “Home” icon and you are done…

INTERNET
EXPLORER 7 & 8:
When
upgrading to either software versions the settings for ssl2 are turned off…to
correct this setting value do the following:
Click
“Tools” then “Internet Options”…

Click
the “Advanced” tab and slide the vertical bar to the bottom…

Put
checkmarks in the 3 red arrowed items (or any SSL or TLS lines showing…there
are more for Win7 and certain Vista OS)…then click “OK”…

You
have successfully made the required changes to your settings.
